(Josh wrote in his personal letter to us that he has lost 18 pounds and doesnt fit in any of his clothes.)

So yes in answer to your question I am a morning person thank you very much :)

Anyways Ahoj

I hope all is great and that you know that the Lord loves you.
This week has been really interesting, okay lets just say that this transfer has been really interesting because my companion and I have been to the hospital more times than I ever think I have been before. He is having a surgery this next week and he is staying here in Bratislava. When I said interesting that's not what you expected to read is it. Anyways

We have been working hard and trying to make is so that when he is down I can go with other elders and teach the people. You see that's how it works, but anyways we have been having a great week otherwise. We have been contacting a lot and singing and talking with members. On Valentines Day we went out contacting and we have these cards that have a couple in wedding clothes, so we handed out a lot of those cards this past week.

We almost had a training, meaning we traveled there an hour and a half on bus and then had to travel back after ten minutes because we got a call saying that the only way the Elder Lamb was going to be able to have the surgery this next week was if he got the blood test and the doctor that analyzes it was going to leave the next day for america so he had to have the blood in that day. In a miracle of events we traveled all the way across Brno and bought our tickets and got on the train just in time, like we sat down and a minute later the train started moving. we did all that in 30 minutes every tram was on time and the train wasn't running later but a ticket window opened just in time and everything worked out. Then we got to the hospital with a little time to spear. We could not do that ever again even if we planned it. The Lord has a way to accomplish the impossible and he does it for sure.

The Lord has is way and we need to trust him enough to follow it, because it is perfect.

I hope all is well

and remember, when life gets to hard to stand, kneel you will be closer to heaven anyways.

Because of the Time difference, It will be morning there when I am sending this to you so GOOOOOOOOOD MORRRRRRRRRNING

I hope that you have had a wonderful night sleep and are well rested for this wonderful day that you have been given.

Anyways, this week has been a great week, because we have been trying to get things going here. We are organized in to our new areas and getting everything moving. We have been working with members and less actives and doing our best to talk to as many people as we can. Life is hard but it is so worth it. My Companion and I are doing great things learning the language and all. We are really working with less actives and trying our best to get them to come back. We are meeting with a man about our age about twice a week and trying to help him see what he once saw. The light is there in all of us we just need to reach out and fan the sparks till we see a flame then try our best and do what we can to keep it burning. I hope you will reach out to the less actives, because they once saw the light fully and now they need help taking the sunglasses off.

The members are so strong and calm with me, as I speak to them and they always want to help. We have two girls in our branch that doing singing displays with us and contact with us sometimes. They really are trying to do all they can to invite people it is amazing. I am so glad that I get to be here and see it all.

The language is still coming, but I am understanding more and more everyday. I am glad that my companion is pushing me to do so.

I want to let you know that the mission and life is a time for change. It is a time for us to find out who we are and who God wants us to be as we lose ourselves in service. Sometimes change can be scary, but sometimes, like say when you are representing the Church half way around the world, Change is exactly what is best. It gets hard, sure life is hard but in the end when it all seems like to much we need to remember that God never Changes because he is perfect and until we are he will help us with the changes.

also remember, When life gets to hard to stand, kneel, you will be closer to heaven anyways.

I hope everything goes well.

Well here I am,

and everything is moving along.

Elder Lamb and I get along great and he makes sure that I am not stressing to much. This week has been crazy. We have had a little bit of organizing to do, after all he is the district leader, and we got a new area in Bratislava so now there are 8 missionaries here, HOW AWESOME IS THAT!?!?!?!?!

We have been looking around town for good places to make boundaries for each area, while contacting of course, so that way we don't all contact at the same time in the same place. we are getting along great and everything is getting organized.

We have really started to work with our less actives this last week and have appoints throughout all next week with them. We really want to work with them this transfer and really get them started on coming back. I can't wait to see how this transfer turns out. It will be a blast. I really like it here. and love to get to know these people. The language is coming and it's awesome to be here at this time when the church is just starting here.

I hope all is well and that everyone is enjoying life to the fullest,

remember, when life gets to hard to stand, kneel, you will be closer to heaven anyways.

Well here I am emailing you, this time from... ... ... Bratislava. Yes I am really glad that I am here for another transfer, because the members are awesome my companion is awesome and we are going to do great things. His name Elder Lamb.
Anyways this last week there was a lot of talking with people and we had a great time getting to know the members. I really do love the members here and we are able to teach with them a lot of the time. I hope that you are getting to know the missionaries in your ward because they are great people that need your help to find the Ellect.

We had a less active member meet with us and because of her day off of work she was able to come to church. There are some great people that are willing to give up so much. The sisters have another less active that had to work on sundays and she find a completely different job just so that she could come to church. Now we just need to ask her to leave her dogs at home.

Dogs are different here, they're not just inside and outside dogs but we have dogs at church, but that will change because the branch president had to ask them to leave their dogs at home.
I hope all is well and that you are having a great time with work, school, hobbies, really whatever is going on.

I hope that you know that God doesn't expect you to do it alone. remember that when life gets to hard to stand, kneel, you will be closer to heaven anyways.

January 27 2014

Well it is such a beautiful day today with the snow falling and the wind blowing just a little bit. I can't wait to go contacting.

We have had such a wonderful week. It started off with a great exchange. I was able to work with Elder Rasmussen, who came out to the field the transfer before me. So it was two new missionaries out on Bratislava. I think we did really good though, we held our own with the language well enough, and we were able to have a lesson with a member, who I taught in the MTC over Skype for practice.
We did a lot of contacting, and had a few lessons fall through, but we also found a lot of other people who are almost ready to hear the Gospel. I hope that we will be led to those who are prepared this week. Oh and it's the last week of this transfer so next week I might not get to email if I have to move to a different city. I will know by saturday evening.

Hope all is well sorry it's so short this week, but the work will go on.

When life gets to hard to stand, kneel, you will be closer to Heaven anyways.

This week has been just wow.

We had a training from our mission president and he is so awesome getting us all ready for the next year of dedication to the Lord. He is truely a man called of God and he is so awesome.

Anyways, this week has been one of learning. Learning that even though I don't know the language the Best the Lord will work with what I do know and he will give me what I don't.

I say this because when we had exchanges and I was with the District Leader we were headed home that night and I sat down next to a lady. I had just said dobrý večer, ako sa mate," and she answered back and a conversation started. I was able to talk to this woman and understand her. I was able to state my missionary purpose as a missionary right before I had to leave. That was the Lords design and his doing to help me know the words to say. I know he is in the work and I know that he has called me and will be with me every step of the way.

People are doing great and eveything is doing great here. We had met some great people this last week and have some awesome appointments set up. We are also trying to help those who have become less active come back to the church. There are so many amazing strong members here and I know that with the Lords help there will be so many more.

My last thought this week is about agency. Agency is quite a gift. With our agency we were able to choose to follow Gods plan and we were able to choose to come to earth and except Christ as our Savior and Redeemer. With our agency we learn and we grow. It is truely a God given gift. There are times when it gets hard, when people choose to do things that aren't good. We often want nothing less than to help them, but we must remember that when we are helping them we can not force them. We can't try and take away their agency. That doesn't mean to give up on them though. Help them, all those who have had a hard life. When we were baptized we chose to help others in need of help, comfort those in need of comfort, lift those that are sad, mourn with those that are mourning. Remember Christ, ask for help to help others. God wont take away anyones agency, but he can and will help you help others if you use your agency and ask.

I know that my Father lives
I know that my Savior lives
and I know that when life gets to hard to stand, kneel, you will be closer to heaven anyways.
